Once there was a seed
This is an educational book that exposes children to the basics of the life cycle of plant life. How the plants sprout from seeds , the essentials for the healthy growth of plants and why they bring forth flowers , the fruits and back to the seed again.
All this is explained in the backdrop of interactions between a seasoned gardener grandpa and his granddaughter. There is also a cute story happening on the sidelines about a bird and an earthworm.
The illustrations are adequate enough to convey outdoorish spring/summer time and capture the attention of young ones. Overall it is a nice book to educate children on how plants grow. It is a nice companion book to an actual project which exhibits plant growth.
